2024 NBA Playoffs
Each Spring basketball fans turn out in huge numbers to attend the NBA Playoffs. Demand for postseason NBA games is influenced by which teams are in the playoffs, the match-ups and postseason round. The most popular teams playing late in the playoffs always drive ticket prices higher. Fans of the Celtics, Warriors, Bucks and 76ers rank among the most passionate fan bases, but every team experiences higher demand for tickets in the playoffs.
The NBA Playoffs start with the play-in games, to decide the last few teams who will qualify for the 2024 postseason. The first round match-ups are 7 game series that are won by winning 4 games. The home team hosts games 1 & 2, as as well, game 5 & 7 if they are necessary. The next round is the Conference Semifinals, which are followed by the Finals. The Eastern Conference Finals and Western Conference Finals typically see huge demand for tickets as fans come out to support their club when they are just a few wins from playing for a ring.
The NBA Finals are the culmination of the playoffs. The 7 game series is hosted by the team with the most wins from the 2024 regular-season. The games in the Finals start with games 1 & 2 in the host city. Games 3 & 4 are often the most expensive tickets in the series as there is more time for fans to purchase tickets. If the series is still undecided after 4 games then games 5, 6, and 7 will alternate between the two teams in the Finals. The winning team is awarded the Larry O'Brien trophy and hangs a championship banner in their building.
