2008 Tennessee Titans Football Preview:
The Tennessee Titans are one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NFL today. Behind the leadership of incredibly mobile and unpredictable quarterback Vince Young, the Tennessee Titans will manage to stay well within the playoff hunt this season. As a rookie, Young took over the reins as quarterback among the din of many detractors that he wouldn’t pan out in the NFL. Young has managed to become one of those players who simply wins, whether by passing or running. The Tennessee Titans should continue to be an exciting team to watch and a playoff dark horse for years to come.

The Tennessee Titans play football in the South division of the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League (NFL). The team was founded in Houston as the Houston Oilers in 1960. The team was one of the founding members of the old American Football League (AFL). The Oilers won the first 2 AFL Championships and would continue to be an AFL contender. Once the leagues merged, the Oilers struggled. The team never had terribly much success in Houston and eventually had financial woes, along with needing an updated stadium. After a brief stop in Memphis as the Tennessee Oilers, the team settled in Nashville as the Tennessee Titans. Coach Jeff Fisher has managed to lead his team to winning seasons and a Super Bowl appearance. The future looks bright in Nashville.
The Tennessee Titans play their home games at LP Field (aka “the Woodshed”) in Nashville, Tennessee. The stadium has a seating capacity of nearly 69,000. LP Field has been a sellout game for the Tennessee Titans every game since it opened, so finding a ticket can be tough. The fans are loyal and loud and the action of the field is mesmerizing as you watch to see what Vince Young might do with the ball.
