Coheed and Cambria are a progressive rock band formed from the remnants of former band Shabutie. Their first studio album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, moved many to compare them with the likes of Rush, specifically because of the technical nature of the music and the lead singer’s high vocals. The band has toured on the Warped Tour, and has partnered with Thursday, Thrice, AFI and others.
The band’s song “Welcome Home” was included as a playable track in the video game Rock Band, a popular band role-playing and skill game. Coheed and Cambria were nominated for the Best International Band and Best Music Video at the 2008 Kerrang Awards.
