In spite of an atrocious season in 2007, the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team is one to watch closely for the next few years.  With a new coach in Tim Brewster who has managed nothing but success in his previous jobs - as a recruiter for and assistant to Mack Brown at UNC and Texas (where he helped recruit Vince Young), and a tight ends coach for the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos, Brewster will look to beef up the team through recruiting and coach them back to contention in the Big Ten.   The Metrodome will roar next season as the Golden Gophers re-establish themselves as a Big Ten power and national contender.
