The Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball team is always one of the very best teams in the country.  Historically the Blue Devils are one of the most successful sports programs of all time.  Legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski is in his 27th year as head coach, and will again lead the team to big run at an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship and a shot at another national championship.  Cameron Indoor Stadium will be deafening as usual as the Cameron Crazies make life miserable for visiting teams.

The Duke Blue Devils first began playing intercollegiate basketball in 1906.  As of 2007, Duke has 21 conference regular season titles, 20 conference tournament titles, 14 Final Four appearances, and 3 national titles.  Attending a Duke game is like going to the church of basketball.  A few of the great players to play at Duke include Dick Groat, Christian Laettner, Elton Brand, Shane Battier, and Danny Ferry.

Ever since the Blue Devils signed Mike Kryzewski as their head coach, the team has experienced a wealth of success.  Since 1980, Duke has become the only team to win three national championships since the NCAA Tournament was expanded in 1985.  Also, the team has seen ten Final Four appearances in 20 years, including five straight from 1988 to 1992.  In 1991, Duke upset the favored UNLV Rebels 79-77 for the championship, and in 1992, they defeated the Kentucky Wildcats on a buzzer-beater that sent them to the Final Four, and ultimately led to yet another national title.  In the Kryzewski era, the Duke basketball program has become a tour de force in college hoops.  You can bet that they will emerge as a centender every year - or at least until basketball goes extinct.

The Duke Blue Devils play basketball at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.  Legend says that Duke coach Eddie Cameron actually drew the plans for the arena, which was opened in 1940 and seats 9,314 spectators.  Sports Illustrated has rated Cameron #4 on the list of the top 20 sports venues in the world.  Buy Duke Blue Devils basketball tickets and watch a living legend coach the most storied team in college sports on to another title!
