MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES EXPERIENCE:
The Minnesota Timberwolves play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA).  The T’Wolves were formed in 1987 as part of an NBA expansion that included the Orlando Magic.  They struggled early until the arrival of Kevin Garnett in 1995.  The team would reach the playoffs for the next 8 seasons, losing in the first round each year until a conference finals loss in 2004.  Since then, the team has struggled with contract disputes, coaching changes, and management problems.  Trading Garnett provided the clean slate needed for a change in fortunes for the Timberwolves.

Though the Timberwolves have been relatively inept in their postseason performances, the team attracts a typically large fan base.  In the 1990-91 season, the T Wolves beat the Dallas Mavericks in front of a crowd of 19,006.  Minnesota has also sent some great players to the All-Star weekend, as Isaiah Rider won the Slam Dunk contest in 1994 with a show-stopper that brought the crowd to their feet.  This Timberwolves team has plenty of talent and an exciting history, so get ready for more great things to come from this Minnesota basketball team.
