The 1980’s and 1990’s also saw great success for UCLA under coach Terry Donahue, going to 13 bowl games and winning 8 bowls in a row. Some of the football greats to wear the True Blue and Gold include Troy Aikman, Marcedes Lewis, Jimmy Johnson, Carnell Lake, and Ken Norton Jr., just to name a few.
