The CU Events Center is an indoor sports arena on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. Formerly known as the Colorado University Events Center, the building was renamed after the Adolph Coors Foundation donated $5 dollars to the school's athletics department. The arena is the home of the Colorado Buffaloes men and women's basketball and volleyball programs. Visitors to the Coors Events Center are struck by the unique 8-sided architecture set in front of the beautiful backdrop of the Flatiron Mountains to the west.
CU Events Center, commonly known as "the CECC", was first opened in 1970. The arena and events center is used not only for basketball and volleyball but also for seminars, conferences, concerts, trade shows, and other activities. Bob Dylan, Jack Ingram, and Juice Newton are just three of the many performers to appear at the CECC.
The CU Events Center holds just over 11,000 spectators for Colorado Buffaloes Basketball games. The arena provides one of the most breathtaking views for visitors of the CECC as they approach the arena. Buy Coors Events Center tickets today and never miss an experience at the CECC!
