2012 CAPITAL ONE BOWL GAME INFO:
Date: January 02, 2012
Location: Orlando, Florida
Venue: Citrus Bowl
Teams: Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. South Carolina Gamecocks
It’s been a year of revelation for both the Nebraska Cornhuskers and South Carolina Gamecocks in 2011. That’s why it’s fitting these two monster programs will meet in this year’s Captial One Bowl, played at Orlando’s Citrus Bowl on January 2nd. The 9-3 Cornhuskers finished their first bruising year in the Big Ten in the top-20, mostly thanks to Bo Pellini’s instance on winning a hard-fought ground attack that features quarterback Taylor Martinez and running back Rex Burkhead, who both had 15 scores. That will be a good test for the 10-2 Gamecocks, who found themselves in the top-10 at the end of the year thanks to their amazing defense, which is strange for an offensive minded coach like Steve Spurrier. It will be a test of strengths in Orlando on January 2nd—and one you won’t want to miss!
