Recent Chick-fil-A Bowl Games:
The Chick-fil-A Bowl, played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, is probably more recognizable by its former name, the Peach Bowl. The game now gets the fifth selection from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the first selection after the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Chick-fil-A Bowl's stature grows every year, with larger payouts being promised to schools, and with ten straight sell-out games, giving it the highest attendance of any non-BCS bowl in the last ten years.
The game has been held annually since 1967. In its early history, the Peach Bowl was held between an ACC team and an at-large team. Since 1993, the bowl game has featured teams from the ACC and the SEC. The Chick-fil-A Bowl has improved over the years, and in 2005 held it's first contest between two Top 10 teams, LSU and Miami (Florida), even though that year also provided the most lopsided game in the bowl's history, LSU winning the game 40-3.
The Georgia Dome, site of the Chick-fil-A bowl, is also the home of the Atlanta Falcons, and holds over 71,000 spectators. The dome is the largest indoor arena in the US, and it's also the largest dome supported by cables in the world. Watching a game at the Georgia Dome is an experience in its own right.
