Toledo and Utah State will make the trip to Idaho to play in the Famouse Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise on opening night of bowl season. Toledo, who went 9-3 and 6-2 in MAC play, won eight games in a row including a 29-23 victory over Cincinnati in October. David Fluellen has rushed for over 1400 yards out of the Rockets backfield and will give the Aggie defense all they can handle. #22 Utah State won’t be backing down any time soon, as the Aggies won their last six including an OT win over #20 Louisiana Tech. Chuckie Keeton will lead USU, as he’s thrown for over 300 yards five times this season. Utah State will be pushing hard for its 11th win of the year. 2011 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Game Preview:
The Ohio University Bobcats are looking for than just a bowl win this year—they’re looking for validation. The 9-4 Bobcats lost the MAC Championship to the Northern Illinois Bobcats after holding a 20-0 lead at halftime, but couldn’t hold on despite a strong offense led by 3,000-yard passer Tyler Tettleton and stout defense. In the 7-5 Utah State, however, they won’t find a pushover happy to be playing during bowl season. The Aggies have rolled off five straight wins, which led them to their first back-to-back bowl berths in school history.
