The GoDaddy.com Bowl featured a defensive battle that left two scoreless quarters at the end of the game. Kent State was able to get on the board first in the second quarter but would not be able to hold off the Arkansas State offense in the third quarter. The Red Wolves would add a field goal to their four point lead and go one to win the game 17-13.

The GoDaddy.com Bowl is a college football post-season bowl game played in Mobile, Alabama. IT is played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, and is the last bowl game before the BCS Championship. Played since 1999, the game was formerly called the Mobile Alabama Bowl until GMAC became the game's sponsor in 2001. In 2011, the sponsorship changed hands once again, and GoDaddy.com took over. One team from the Conference-USA is pitted against a team from either the Mid-American Conference (MAC) or Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

The history of the bowl has built a reputation on great competition and close games. Who can forget the 2000 GMAC Bowl when Southern Mississippi beat TCU with a touchdown pass with only eight seconds left on the clock? The 2001 game between Marshall and East Carolina is widely considered to be one of the top 25 college football games ever played. It has the highest scoring game in college football history. Current NFL quarterback Byron Leftwich managed to bring Marshall back from a 38-8 deficit to a double overtime victory of 64-61 over East Carolina.

Ladd-Peebles Stadium, home of the GoDaddy.com Bowl game, holds up to 50,000 spectators, and in 1997 underwent a massive renovation and modernization.
