2014 GoDaddy.com Bowl Preview
The 2014 GoDaddy.com Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 5th at 8 PM. The game will match up a choice from the MAC against the #2 choice from the Sun Belt. Early bowl projections on CBS Sports have Northern Illinois taking on Western Kentucky, although that obviously may change depending on how the season plays out. The bowl announcement show, where the pairings are released, is Sunday, December 8th – so check back here for a preview of the 2014 GoDaddy.com Bowl.
In the 2013 GoDaddy.com Bowl, the Arkansas State Red Wolves defeated the #25 Kent State Golden Flashes 17-13. Arkansas State was able to hand Kent State its second loss of the year with two touchdowns late in the second quarter in front of 37,913 fans in attendance. Ryan Aplin, ASU’s QB, was named game MVP.

Ladd Peebles Stadium is home to the GoDaddy.com Bowl, the Senior Bowl and the South Alabama Jaguars. It was opened in 1948 and is also used for some of the biggest concert acts in the country.
There is only one level of the stadium, with the west stands being from Section A through K. The east stands go from Section L through V. South stands are Sections Y1 through Y5, and north stands are W1-W3 and X1-X2.

This has to start and end with the 2001 game, where Marshall beat East Carolina 64-61 in double overtime. It featured two future NFL starting quarterbacks that played on the same team in David Gerrard and Byron Leftwich. East Carolina went up 38-8 at half time but a furious comeback led by Leftwich tied the game with seven seconds left, going on to win in the second OT.
Who are the most famous players to play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl?
GoDaddy.com Bowl MVPs (including the former GMAC Bowl) include future NFL Hall of Famer LaDanian Tomlinson, who scored two rushing touchdowns to give TCU a lead going into the fourth quarter. Two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger also won the award in 2003.
