2013 COLLEGE WORLD SERIES PREVIEW Check back for a preview and schedule of the 2013 College World Series.
COLLEGE WORLD SERIES EXPERIENCE:
The College World Series is one of the greatest sporting events in America today, it is also one of the least known great events. The CWS is a true must see event for any fan of baseball or college sports. The road to Omaha is tough, but for those fortunate few schools that persevere the rewards are an experience that will last a lifetime. The reward is the same for any fan who attends the College World Series.
Teams advance to the College World Series by winning a double elimination Regional tournament and then a 3-game Super Regional. The CWS format divides the 8 teams that qualify into two separate 4-team double-elimination brackets. The winners from each bracket advance to play each other in a best of 3 CWS Championship series. The 3-game Championship series is something that was recently added to the College World Series to more fairly crown the NCAA Champ.
Perhaps the best attribute of the College World Series is the atmosphere around the games. The College World Series is being played at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha after years at the historic Rosenblatt Stadium. Each Summer the Nebraska city opens up their arms to fans of the participating schools to provide them with an unforgettable CWS experience. Each game at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha is played in-front of up to 35,000 enthusiastic, knowledgeable baseball crowds. You can feel the electricity in the stands during big games at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, and almost every College World Series game is huge. Outside TD Ameritrade Park Omaha there are 24/7 tailgate parties, these great BBQ parties last the entire CWS tournament.
The College World Series has a rich history and has had many great baseball players participate. Hall of Fame caliber Major League baseball players like; Dave Winfield, Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson, Todd Walker and Barry Bonds have all played in CWS games. Many great college baseball programs have made trips to the College World Series, led by Arizona State, Southern Cal, Texas, Miami and LSU. Those teams have together participated in over 100 College World Series, and the fans of each program have great stories to share about each CWS trip. So buy College World Series tickets today and experience the magic of the CWS!
