AAC Basketball Tournament Tickets Information

The American Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament is one of the highlights of every college basketball season. The AAC is a college basketball powerhouse, with many of the country’s top teams playing in the conference. The AAC Basketball Tournament can trace its roots to the old Big East Tournament which dates back to 1980. The conference split and officially adopted the name AAC in 2013, and 2014 was the first edition of the AAC Basketball tournament. The AAC Basketball Tournament is a single elimination tournament that features all 11 teams from the AAC. The teams are seeded from 1 to 11, with the top 5 seeds receiving a first round bye in the tournament. The winner of the AAC Basketball Tournament receives an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament and enters the big dance with a mountain of momentum. Previous winners of the AAC Basketball Tournament have gone on to reach the Final Four, and win the NCAA Basketball National Championship.

TThe 2015 AAC Basketball Tournament will be played at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, future AAC Basketball Tournaments will be played at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Previous AAC Basketball Tournaments were played at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.

AAC Basketball Tournament Event Guide

What is the best time to buy tickets for the AAC Tournament?

If you’re just going as a spectator and not a fan of any specific team, buy as early as possible. If you want to see your team, wait until you know what seed they are and then jump on tickets for that session!

Can I buy tickets for just the game that my team is playing in?

For this tournament, tickets are only sold as sessions and therefore you are buying a pass to two games (unless it’s the final).

AAC tournament tickets This was my first time using ticketcity and was referred by a friend. I was very skeptical having been burnt by other ticket brokers. Suffice it to say "great experience". From start to finish very professional and easy. Best customer service I've experienced. Bought tickets the day before event and they had a tickets waiting with a rep very close. Not shady- booth was set up in hotel across from venue. Seemless transaction and will be using again. March 16, 2015
First purchase at Ticket City ... Not my last! The day before the tourney final I thought,"... maybe we can get a last minute ticket?" Was directed to Ticket City after a Google search. The site was easy to navigate and placed my order for seats half-way up at mid-court. Within minutes the phone rang and a representative gave me the details and said he would call re. pick-up the next day. As promised, the next morning another rep called with the details and gave us the hotel lobby near Mohegan Sun . I was reluctant but went along with the instructions. Got to the lobby and easily spotted the rep with a line of other fans. The fellow was engaging and suggested booking a room at the very same hotel. We did and saved $50.00 over a Priceline quote! So, the wife and I got to see a game, play at the Casino with the money saved!!! Great service and we'll go to Ticket City first next time! Bud and Ellie March 11, 2015
