Alabama is second all-time in conference wins, SEC Tournament titles, and third in regular season conference titles. The “Iron Bowl of Basketball” is a match-up between Alabama and Auburn for state and conference bragging rights. The rivalry does not get the same publicity as the football, but is just as fierce between the two teams and has become well respected in the state. The games have been known to be streaky as both teams have taken turns dominating the series. The first game was played in 1924 with Alabama leading the way with over 90 wins.
