Big 12 Basketball Tournament Ticket Information

The Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament is one of the biggest events of the college basketball season every year. Basketball fans will travel to cities like Oklahoma City, Kansas City and Dallas to see their favorite Big 12 team try to win the title while also cementing a spot in the NCAA Tournament that begins the week after. The seeding is based on the final standings of the Big 12 regular season, with the top 6 teams getting byes in the first round. The tournament is played over a four-day span that encompasses nine games, with the final taking place the day after the semifinal match-ups.

Fans attending the Big 12 tournament buy tickets for sessions instead of individual games, so make sure to check this page to find what session your team is playing in. While the tournament isn’t in a set city every year, the Big 12 has agreed to play it at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO., through 2016. The Sprint Center was also the host of the tournament in 2008 and 2010-2014. Between the teams in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas, there are always some Big 12 teams in the mix for a national championship and a win in the Big 12 tournament helps seeding them highly for their big run – or helps a team via automatic bid that wouldn’t have been selected by the NCAA tournament committee. 2015 Big 12 Basketball Tournament Preview

The Big 12 is looking its strongest from top to bottom that it has in a long time, with Baylor, Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Iowa State all with one loss or less as we head into the holidays. Texas had a big win in Chappell Hill over North Carolina, while Iowa State beat #7 Michigan in November. Outside of Kansas, the Big 12 isn’t a traditional basketball conference, but they’re looking like a force in 2014. The Big 12 tournament could be a heavyweight battle by the time March rolls around.

Big 12 Basketball Tournament Event Guide

What is the crowd usually like for games?

If Kansas is playing, you’re sure to see an abundance of Jayhawks fans since Lawrence is close to Kansas City and they have a large fan base. Kansas State fans usually bring a large crowd as well. It can vary since sessions usually include two games.

Where can I find the Big 12 tournament schedule?

The 2014 Big 12 tournament schedule is listed as soon as it is made available by the tournament, and TicketCity has all the dates and times posted above for all sessions. The tournament is split up into sessions, with each session containing two games except for the last one, which is just the championship game. The gates usually open one hour before the first game of every session. The Big 12 tournament is in Kansas City and runs from March 12-15 at the Sprint Center.

What is the best time to buy tickets for the Big 12 Tournament?

If you’re not going to see a specific team, the earlier the better for tickets. If you’re wanting to see your team play, as soon as the seeds are set you should get tickets since the Sprint Center seats less than 19,000.

How can I buy cheap Big 12 tournament tickets?

TicketCity offers a large selection of Big 12 tournament tickets which includes some of the lowest priced seats on the market. Big 12 tournament ticket prices fluctuate based on demand for the tournament throughout the season. Bigger matchups and more nationally-ranked teams typically push demand higher & ticket prices. The opposite can happen if the Big 12 tournament matchups are less intriguing. Marquee teams, like the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, Texas Longhorns, and other teams with large fan bases, can drive up Big 12 tournament ticket prices. The Big 12 tournament is one of the biggest basketball events of the year and the culmination of the regular season, so if you’re looking for cheap tickets you may want to act early before the big push right before the tournament.

What’s a good place to eat or hang out before the game?

There are lots of good options since the Sprint Center is in the heart of downtown Kansas City. Bar Louie is a great spot for food and drink, and is right across the street from the venue. McFadden’s, Johnny’s Tavern and the Pizza Bar are all off Grand Blvd. across from Sprint Center as well.

Awesome Great service and help in a crazy atmosphere. Loved the seats, the service. TicketCity delivered. Big thanks to Rick. March 18, 2014
THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AROUND!! TicketCity has by far the best customer service that I have ever come across! I was worried about getting our tickets in time so I tracked everything with Kyle our customer service contact and he always responded quickly to my emails and calls and was willing to go above and beyond to ensure my experience was a good one. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because our tickets did not ship as they said they would but Kyle was able to make it so we could pick them up at the event and when we did we even got upgraded which was a nice surprise. A huge thank you to Kyle and the people at TicketCity who made our weekend a lot of fun!!! March 17, 2014
Mizzou Fan So happy with the service of Ticket City at the Big 12 at the Sprint Center! Tickets were picked up easily in a convenient location! And very happy with the Mizzou Win! March 26, 2012
Great service Scott Nugent has helped me with football tickets and B12 tickets. He spent a ton of time with me to get exactly what I needed for each session in this years tourney. He were able to get my wife and I the seats we wanted for the first three sessions before arriving in KC. We got session four for us and friends on the fly and picked them up right across the street from the Sprint Center. Customer service from Ticket City puts StubHub and the others to shame. I never use anyone else anymore. March 12, 2012
