New York's Madison Square Garden sets the perfect stage for the final tournament from one of the most compelling conferences in college basketball. The Big East has been producing top notch basketball teams for decades now usually sending at least one team to the Final Four. The conference finale got underway with two first round wins from Rutgers and Seton Hall both of whom lost in the second round to Notre Dame and Syracuse respectively. After a double bye, the Big East favorite Hoyas came out on top in their first shot of action against Cincinnati's Bearcats to advance to the semifinals where they will meet the Orange. The double bye proved to be an advantage for Louisville as they slid past Villanova while Notre Dame found success with their first round bye upsetting #3 Marquette. Louisville maintained and was able to oust Syracuse in the Finals and take home the 2013 Big East Championship accompanied by an automatic NCAA Tournament bid.
