2011-2012 Ohio State Buckeyes College Basketball Preview:

Buckeyes basketball is heating up for the fall season and will feature a number of great additions to the already talented roster. The team went deep into the NCAA tournament last year, showing up among the Elite Eight, but dropped a game to Kentucky and fell short of the Final Four. This season, the squad will be looking to improve upon its stellar 32 - 2 record from the previous year.

Sophomore wunderkind Jared Sullinger is back to help the Buckeyes climb to the top of the Big Ten division. The 6' 9" forward put some muscle on during the offseason and trimmed down to 280 pounds. The loss of mass will likely help him provide enhanced quickness to his repertoire and improve upon his already astounding 17.2 points per game average from 2010 - 2011.

Sullinger is also a beast on the defensive end of things. With 10.1 rebounds per game during the course of last season's incredible 24 game win streak, he certainly knows just how to provide the right kind of help to his teammates. Look for this outstanding player to further step up his game come November.

Ohio State won their first ever NCAA Tournament Championship in 1960, defeating California.

The Ohio State Buckeyes play their home games at the Jerome Schottenstein Center, which can hold 19,200 fans. The center is home to the men's and women's basketball teams, as well as men's ice hockey. The center is the largest arena in the Big Ten, and can seat up to 21,000 people for concerts and touring shows.
