2008-2009 Ohio State Buckeyes Basketball Preview:
The Ohio State Buckeyes will face a difficult schedule this season, but should be prapared to step up in the Big Ten.  Despite having lost some amazing players from last season, the Buckeyes will use the talent from their recruiting class to fill the void.  B.J. Mullins, the 7 ft. center, will look to live up to his role as the most highly touted recruit in the nation and post some points from the paint.  This Ohio State team will need to learn how to work together on the court in order for the mostly fresman class to be effective.  Get ready for a nother fantastic year of Ohio State Basketball!

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been playing basketball since 1898, and played their first game against East High.  The team has had a storied history of success.  The Buckeyes have been to the Final Four 10 times, with their last appearance in 2007.  In 1911, the Buckeyes joined the Big Nine Conference (which would later become the Big Ten Conference).  Ohio State won their first ever NCAA Tournament Championship in 1960, defeating California.

The Ohio State Buckeyes play their home games at the Jerome Schottenstein Center, which can hold 19,200 fans.  The center is home to the men's and women's basketball teams, as well as men's ice hockey.  The center is the largest arena in the Big Ten, and can seat up to 21,000 people for concerts and touring shows.  St. John Arena, the Buckeye's former home, would fit inside the Jerome Schottenstein Center twice.
