The 2013 West Region of the NCAA Tournament was full of shocks. To start things off #13 LaSalle and #12 Ole Miss upset the 4 and 5 seeds Kansas State and Wisconsin respectively. LaSalle ended up making it to the first game of the West Regional's where they fell to the #9 seed Wichita State. In the Elite 8 Wichita State lived up to the name and shocked Ohio State advancing to the Final Four. The 2014 West Regional will stay in California but head Southeast to Anaheim's Honda Center. The big story in the South Region of the 2013 NCAA Tournament was a school that had only been around since 1991 and was making its first tournament appearance. The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles became the first #15 seed ever to advance to the Sweet 16 where they ended up losing to the tournament favorite Florida Gators. The Gators found themselves up against the Wolverines who also made history when they beat Florida to advance to the Final Four for the first time since the Fab Five. The FedEx Forum is next on the docket for the South Regional as 2014 Sweet 16 sends the South teams to Nashville, Tennessee.

The 2013 Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament went according to plan as #1 Louisville and #2 Duke ended up in the Elite 8. Although #12 Oregon was able to mix up the bracket by beating the #4 and #5 seeds advancing to the Sweet 16, Louisville proved to be the team to beat throughout the tournament. Louisville was able to dominate the competition all season long and showed why they are National Champions against Michigan in the final game of the tournament. Indianapolis will remain home to the Midwest Regional for years to come as the Lucas Oil Stadium is set to play host in 2014 and years to follow.

The 2013 seeding of the East Region seemed to be right on point as the top 4 teams were all able to advance to the Sweet 16. It was the bottom of the bracket that continued to produce as #3 Marquette and #4 Syracuse knocked off the top two seeds Indiana and Miami. Syracuse's zone defense remained a heavy obstacle for opponents up until the Wolverines found the key to unlocking it in the Final Four. The 2014 East Regional of the NCAA Tournament will leave our nations capital and head to New York's Madison Square Garden.
