2011-2012 Ohio State Buckeyes College Basketball Preview:

Buckeyes basketball is heating up for the fall season and will feature a number of great additions to the already talented roster. The team went deep into the NCAA tournament last year, showing up among the Elite Eight, but dropped a game to Kentucky and fell short of the Final Four. This season, the squad will be looking to improve upon its stellar 32 - 2 record from the previous year.

Sophomore wunderkind Jared Sullinger is back to help the Buckeyes climb to the top of the Big Ten division. The 6' 9" forward put some muscle on during the offseason and trimmed down to 280 pounds. The loss of mass will likely help him provide enhanced quickness to his repertoire and improve upon his already astounding 17.2 points per game average from 2010 - 2011.

Sullinger is also a beast on the defensive end of things. With 10.1 rebounds per game during the course of last season's incredible 24 game win streak, he certainly knows just how to provide the right kind of help to his teammates. Look for this outstanding player to further step up his game come November.

Ohio State University 2010 Men’s Basketball Preview:
Is there a better name for a basketball arena than “The Schott?” Considering the bigs Ohio State has had on the floor in the past few seasons like Greg Oden and Evan Turner, the only better name would’ve been “The Board.” Besides a great name, OSU fans have been treated to NBA-level talent on the stadium’s floor at an amazing clip lately. Do you want to join them to catch great NCAA action, or catch a glimpse of the future of pro basketball? TicketCity has your way in to catch all the hoops action.

While the loss of Turner to the NBA hurts the team, the season still looks promising. The Buckeyes have their other four starters are returning, who are looking to improve on the 3-3 record they had when Turner went out with a back injury halfway through the 2009 season. The key for Matta will be centering the offense around Turner’s old running mate, guard William Buford, since more than a third of the team’s possessions last year ended with Turner making a shot. The two incoming McDonalds All-Americans, forwards Jared Sullinger and Deshaun Thomas, and Greek 7-footer Zisis Sarikopoulos, will help the inside game, but the question will be how quickly they can acclimate themselves in Columbus and contribute to their system. Our guess will be not long.
