The Oregon Ducks have a long and rich basketball history. Founded in 1894, Oregon Ducks won the first NCAA Championship ever played in 1939. The Oregon Ducks have multiple conference championships in the Pac-12 (and its predecessor, the Pacific Coast Conference). The Oregon Ducks also have appeared in a number of NCAA Tournaments. The Ducks have also recently sent some serious talent to the NBA, including Freddie Jones (Portland Trailblazers), Luke Ridnour (Seattle Seahawks) and Luke Jackson (Toronto Raptors). The Oregon Ducks play their home games at McArthur Court in Eugene, Oregon. The oldest college basketball arena in the nation, “the Pit” is also probably the loudest in the Pac-12. The “Pit Crew” is a courtside student section that leads the fans and shakes the floor of the arena, making life tough for opposing teams.
