San Diego State Aztecs Basketball 1 1
What an Atmosphere! Going to a men's basketball game at Viejas Arena is a unique experience. It is a small arena for a team which plays such exciting and competitive basketball. But the compactness of the gym is what gives it the flavor that makes the Aztecs nearly impossible to beat on their home court. "The Show" is the well-known student section that sits behind the basket closest to the visitor's bench. They get on the other team from start to finish and make it difficult for them to concentrate. That's what makes college sports so exciting. The entire crowd is loud and crazy from start to finish, and with returning starters Billy White, Kawhi Leonard, Chase Tapley, DJ Guy (censored), and Malcolm Thomas led by veteran Head Coach Steve Fisher, the 2010-11 Aztec squad looks poised to do what no other Aztec team has ever done; advance well past the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Aztec home games promise to be among the most exciting events in all of San Diego for years to come. August 18, 2010
