As far as NCAA Tournament performance is concerned the Florida Gators were somewhat of a late bloomer. The Early years of Florida's basketball program left them without any NCAA Tournament appearances for more than 50 years but once the Gators got a taste of the tournament in '87 they made it a point to become a repeat participant.

Since arriving to the tournament for the first time Florida has had multiple spans of consecutive tournament bid streaks and even won their first two championships back to back in 2006 and 2007. Currently the Gators are on four straight years with an NCAA Tournament bid.
