2011-2012 Hawaii Warriors College Basketball Preview:
The Hawaii Warriors finished the 2010-11 season with a winning record of 19-13, and the team is set to post an even stronger performance this year. The Warriors are expected to be real competitors in the Western Athletic Conference as they look to improve their .500 record against rivals within the division.
This year, Hawaii will have a number of talented players on the offensive side of court, which is expected to help the team put up some points. Bobby Miles, Garrett Jefferson and Tyler Brown are all predicted to have an impact on the Warriors, who have had a hard time surpassing opposing defenses in the past.
Defensively, the Warriors will need to get better if they want to finish better than .500 in their conference this year. However, the joint efforts of the team's deep bench of aggressive players, including Vander Joaquim, Davis Rozitis and Shaquille Stokes, are expected to improve the team's overall performance.
With head coach Gib Arnold at the helm, Hawaii can expect to see a positive turn in the 2011-12 season. The Warriors are one WAC team worth watching.
