2011-2012 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs College Basketball Preview:
The 2010-11 season could have gone better for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, who finished 11-21. With a losing record, the Bulldogs will look to make stark improvements in the 2011-12 season by refining its offense, defense and coaching strategy.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Bulldogs are likely to show signs of improvement by leveraging the skills of talented players, such as Anthony Hickey, Chris Bass and John Issac. Together, these individuals are expected to make the team more aggressive and dynamic.
Defensively, the Bulldogs will need to get better if they want to be a real threat in the Western Athletic Conference. However, this is often easier said than done. Louisiana Tech is expected to make great strides developing its core group of players, including Andrew Del Piero, Justin Hamilton and Ralston Turner, who have plenty to bring to the hardwood when the game comes down to the wire.
Head coach Trent Johnson has plenty to work with in the 2011-12 season, but no one can predict how far the Bulldogs will go as the months roll on. The roster full of star players is giving fans hope as Louisiana Tech attempts to restore its pride in NCAA men's basketball.
