2012 GEORGIA TECH FOOTBALL TICKETS:
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets always seem to be one of the most dangerous teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), and the 2011 season was no exception. Although the team finished with an 8-5 record and experienced its ups and downs, the Yellow Jackets posted impressive victories over Clemson, North Carolina and North Carolina State. Although the Yellow Jackets fell to Utah in the Sun Bowl, spirits are high for Paul Johnson's team heading into 2012 as they look to make the jump to ACC title contention.
Over the past several years, the Yellow Jackets have used a unique running offense called the triple option, which has proven to be a winning formula for the team since its inception. The offense is lead by their athletic running quarterback Tevin Washington as well as productive running backs like David Sims and Orwin Smith. As a result, the Yellow Jackets offense doesn't air it out quite as much as other ACC teams, but they have a few interesting receiver prospects like Jeff Greene and Jeremy Moore who can help the offense become less one-dimensional. However, the strength of the unit is the offensive line, which features a slew of upperclassmen linemen including standout guard Omoregie Uzzi.
The biggest concern for the Yellow Jackets in 2012 is their defense, which began to fade down the stretch of the 2011 campaign. The team uses a base 3-4 defense, which includes the mammoth defensive tackle T.J. Barnes, as well as ends like Izaan Cross and Euclid Cummings. The linebacking corps will again be lead by all-ACC linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu, and the Yellow Jackets hope to get solid production out of new outside linebacker starter Quayshawn Nealy. Finally, the team's secondary looks to be a strong suit, as senior cornerback Rod Sweeting and safety Isaiah Johnson are back to keep opposing air attacks under control.
The Yellow Jackets have a daunting schedule to look forward to during the 2012 season, with a series of tough non-conference opponents to go along with their vaunted ACC matchups. The team will open up the year away against Virginia Tech, and will face off against tough teams like BYU and Georgia along the way. If the Yellow Jackets can stay consistent throughout the year, they have all the weapons needed to make a run at the ACC title this year.

The Georgia Institute of Technology first fielded a football team in 1892 as the Blacksmiths. Their first game against the University of Georgia resulted in Tech's first win, and the ire of the Bulldog's fans helped spark a rivalry known now only as “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate”. The Yellow Jackets would have great success in the first part of the 20th century through to the '60s under legendary coaches John Heisman, William Alexander, and Bobby Dodd. With 3 National Championships and 13 Conference titles under these coaches, Georgia Tech then began to struggle in the '70s and '80s. Bobby Ross' arrival in 1987 would bring the Yellow Jackets back to form for another National Championship in 1990 and 2 ACC Titles.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets play their home games at the 55,000 seat capacity Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. A game against Georgia is an experience every football fan should have.
