2008 Louisville Football Preview:
Head Coach: Steve Kragthorpe
The University of Louisville Cardinals football program has been a rising star in the NCAA for the last ten years. Their 2006 season ended with a 12-1 record, a Big East title, and a trip to the BCS Orange Bowl. The team returned many of its starters but would lose its head coach Bobby Petrino to the Atlanta Falcons after the Orange Bowl game. The 2007 Cardinals struggled to repeat its success of 2006. The coming season should be an interesting one as Louisville fans fill Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium to see whether their team can regain the Big East Championship and dream to compete for a national title.
