2008 South Florida Football Preview:
Head Coach: Jim Leavitt
The University of South Florida Bulls football program is on the rise as an NCAA Division I-A powerhouse. The team has built a reputation in recent years as a giant-killer, knocking off top-25 teams like Louisville in 2005, West Virginia in 2006 and 2007, and Auburn in 2007. The founding of the program, the rise from a Division I-AA team into Division I-A competition, the joining of two conferences in just 3 seasons has made the South Florida Bulls brief history a whirlwind. South Florida manages to improve every year, in 2007 even holding a spot as the #2 team in the nation until being upset by Rutgers.
