2008 West Virginia Football Preview:
Head Coach: Bill Stewart
West Virginia is back from a stellar 2007 season, notching a co-championship in the Big East and boasting an 11-2 overall record for the season. The team also upset #3 Oklahoma in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl, winning the bowl game 48-28. Look for a big start in 2008, as West Virginia is looking strong coming into the season. With the entire offensive line returning, and Heisman contender Pat White in the line-up, this 2008 Mountaineers team is going to reach the endzone on more than a few occasions.
The Mountaineers will be up against a tougher schedule this season, so it should be interesting to see how this team will fare. The team also has a new head coach, Bill Stewart, who has impressed West Virginia fans already by leading the team to victory over Oklahoma in the 2007 season. White and tailback Noel Devine are set to make this team an offensive force, so get off the couch and in the stands over at Mountaineer Field!
