2008 Michigan State Football Preview:
Head Coach: Mark Dantonio
Head Coach Mark Dantonio is looking to put some more of his boys in the end zone in 2008 at
Spartan Stadium, as the Michigan State Spartan football team takes to the field for their 112th season. The Spartan team is knee-deep in football history and culture, and they will be meeting some of their long time rivals this season: Notre Dame, Michigan and Penn State. The Spartans will be fighting back from their disappointing 2007 season to possibly gain a berth to the 2008 Big 10 Conference Football Championship.
After a 4-0 start last season, Michigan State lost five of their next eight games to put them at 7-5 for the regular season. Although the team gained a berth to the Champs Sports Bowl, Boston College edged past the Spartans 24-21 for the win. Coach Dantonio aims to boost his 7-6 record from last season, and hopefully chalk up his first bowl game win with the team.
