Nebraska Cornhusker football began in 1890. Since 1962, Nebraska has ended up with a top 25 ranking in all but 8 seasons. The Huskers have 46 conference titles and 5 national championships to their credit. With legendary coaches like Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne, and football alumni such as Mike Rozier, Roger Craig, and Tom Rathman, the Huskers have churned out incredible talent every year for decades. Nebraska had long standing rivalries with the Colorado Buffaloes and, most notably, the Oklahoma Sooners, with whom Nebraska has competed for the Big Eight and now the Big 12 title for many years.
The Cornhuskers open new rivalries as they moved to the Big Ten Conference in 2011, leaving the Big 12 behind. Penn State, Iowa, Illinois and more will lock up with Nebraska's football team for years to come.
Nebraska plays their home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. The stadium has a capacity of more than 84,000 and has had a sellout crowd in more consecutive games than any other college football stadium (288 at the time of this writing). Visitors to a Cornhusker game at Memorial will quickly understand what they mean by “a Sea of Red”. Excellent Service Ticket City found me great tickets as well as great customer service! September 9, 2010
Sea of Red for every Nebraska game Attending a Nebraska Cornhuskers game in Lincoln is equivalent to visiting a shrine to college football, because everything about the game experience is special. The entire state of Nebraska supports the Cornhuskers so everywhere you go people will be talking about the game. Gameday takes on legendary status in Lincoln and your pre-game stop needs to be at Barry's. Barry's is a legendary bar where Nebraska faithful congregate before every home game. Stop by Barry's for a few hours and spend some quality time with the Nebraska fans - they know their football and are always respectful of the opponent. The walk into Memorial Stadium is a memorable one because you are visiting one of the top venues in college football. Take it all in -- all around you is a Sea of Red wearing Nebraska fans. You won't find fan support like that in many places which is why a Neb game is so special. August 9, 2010
Memorial Stadium Seating It's important to know that when ordering tickets for a Husker home game that in both the East and West stadium some support pillars come into play at row 39. Rows above that may be obstructed view. And don't forget, Go Big Red! September 12, 2010
