Indiana Hoosiers Football 5 5 1 1
Underrated Hoosiers I started my 62nd. season following IU Football on Thursday,September 2,2010, and I was not disappointed. I knew this would be our year. The Hoosiers held Towson State to 17 points, including only a field goal in the second half even though IU's 2nd. and 3rd. team defenders played most of the second half. The I.U. coaching staff made some great adjustments after they saw how good Towson's new quarterback,6'4" 220 pound kid named Hart, was. Hart was a junior college recruit for this season and IU had not seen any film on this kid. Let me tell you this:Hart could play{if not start] for any Big Ten Football Program,in my opinion. I fully expect Towson to play well in their own conference. Back to IU. For a football team with 7 new defensive starters, I thought The Hoosiers did an overall super job on defense for their very first game. I had the impression that the Hoosiers could have scored 70 points or more ,had Coach Lynch decided to "run up the score" Let us not forget.I.U."s leading returning receiver,Tandon Doss, did not play. Finally,I believe the talent level at I.U. has been truly upgraded with 38 three star and two 4 star recruits in the last 3 recruiting classes. This season is the first season where all of the 3 star recruits from I.U.'s 2009 recruiting class are playing after redshirting in 2009..Ted Bolser and Jamonne Chester are just two of these 3 star recruits who made a big impact in the Hoosier receiving game. I think it is extremely possible that the Hoosiers might win as many as 8 or 9 games in 2010. -30- September 8, 2010
