Iowa Hawkeyes Bowl Game Tickets Information

The Iowa Hawkeyes have established themselves as one of the better college football programs in the country by being selected to play in over 25 bowl games, including a streak of five in a row in the early 2000s. After missing a bowl game during the 2012 season, the Hawkeyes returned in 2013 by being selected to play in the Outback Bowl in January of 2014. The Hawkeyes played in 10 bowl games from 2001-2011, and the impressive streak by the program has set the bar extremely high for the fan base that looks at missing a bowl game as unacceptable.

Iowa won their only national championship after defeating the California Golden Bears 38-12 to end the 1958 season. The game was played at the historic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California in the 45th Rose Bowl Game in front of 98,297 fans. The 2010 Orange Bowl is another game to remember for Iowa fans as this was the first major bowl game victory for the Hawkeyes since the big Rose Bowl victory in the late 50’s.

Iowa Hawkeyes fans are very loyal and love to travel to see their favorite team play. Whether it be the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida or the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome that sits over 65,000 fans, Iowa fans will be in attendance. Best game of the year! I actually bought these tickets for my grandson's 14th birthday, even though he is an Iowa State fan, he had never been to a college football game and let's be honest there is no place like Kinnick! November 3, 2014
Great Game We has an awesome time! Tickets were great September 15, 2014
Awesome Experience The game itself was an incredible experience! The only issue I had was that we ordered 6 tickets. When we went into the stadium 5 of the 6 tickets were scanned perfect. My husbands ticket on the other hand would not scan. Therefore, he had to go to the ticket office to get another ticket. Had one of my kids had the ticket, I don't know what I would've done. The pregame stadium colors for ANF was amazing! October 17, 2011
Kinnick Stadium Have you ever been to historic Kinnick Stadium? If not, you have been missing out on one of the better Gameday experiences in the nation. Kinnick Stadium is a must see for any football fan. Nestled in beautiful Iowa City, Kinnick Stadium is named for Nile Kinnick, the 1939 Heisman Trophy winner and the only Heisman winner in university history, who died in service during World War II. The JFK of his time, his Heisman speech is still regarded as one of the greatest acceptance speeches, of all time. First opened in 1929, it currently holds up to 70,585 people, making it one of the 20 largest university owned stadiums in the country. Feared by opponents, the bleachers are right next to the field and it is consistently tabbed as one of the loudest stadiums in the nation. It's brick veneer and old-school railroad-hub style provides for much of the character and charm that makes it unique amongst the top NCAA stadiums. The stadium was even used by the classic football sitcom "Coach" as home of the mythical Minnesota State Screamin Eagles due to its scenic views in the autumn time. The historic stadium, which actually has a railroad that fans can use to take the train to the game, underwent a huge $89 million renovation which was just recently completed. That two-year project resulted in a long-list of amendments that improved the game-day experience for everyone from the student-athletes and coaches on the playing field to the fans in the stands, while preserving its old-school charm. Also of note, are the infamous all-pink visitor locker rooms. If you ever get a chance to tour this controversial part of Kinnick, do it! You will not be letdown! September 15, 2010
