Miami University (often referred to colloquially as Miami of Ohio), has fielded a football team since 1888, making the Miami of Ohio Redhawks one of the oldest continuous football programs in the country. The team was formerly known as the Miami Redskins. The Miami Redhawks have produced several top-notch coaches over the years, thus earning the title of "Cradle of Coaches."
