2015 Michigan Football Preview:
There are few teams that enter the 2015 season with more hype than the Michigan Wolverines. Following a disappointing, 5 win season in 2014, the Wolverines fired maligned head coach Brady Hoke and brought in Michigan legend Jim Harbaugh to lead the team. The switch has turned Michigan into the IT program in 2015 and the hype around the new era of Wolverines football could not be higher. Junior quarterback Shane Morris is expected to lead the new look Michigan offense, which includes talented senior receivers Amara Darboh and Jehu Chesson. The Michigan defense will be one of the most experienced in the Big Ten in 2015, with 7 senior starters. Michigan has found its leader in Jim Harbaugh, but the question remains if they are talented enough to win immediately. With the experience returning on both sides of the ball, Michigan has a chance to finish at the top half of the Big Ten in 2015. The Wolverines have a favorable 2015 schedule, with division rivals Ohio State and Michigan State both traveling to Ann Arbor. Top road games on the Michigan Wolvers 2015 schedule include at Utah and at Penn State.

2014 Michigan Football Preview:
The start of Brady Hoke’s 3rd season as Michigan’s head coach was full of optimism. The Wolverines rattled off 5 straight wins, including a stomping of Big 10 foe Minnesota in Ann Arbor. The final 7 games saw the wheels fall off the wagon as Big Blue lost 6 of 7 to end the season, including a 1 point heart breaker to arch-nemesis Ohio State. Michigan comes into the 2014 season without outstanding offensive linemen Taylor Lewan and Michael Schofield, both of which are now in the NFL. However, the future of the offense looks bright despite having 3 underclassmen on the offensive line. Senior quarterback Devin Gardner returns, along with his favorite target Devin Funchess. If Gardner can get in a rhythm, the sky is the limit for Big Blue in a wide open Big 10. Early season games include a redemption opportunity against Appalachian State, and the final round of the Michigan-Notre Dame rivalry. The key games of the season will likely be at Michigan State, and at Ohio State.

2013 Michigan Football Preview:
Head coach Brady Hoke has hit the recruiting trail hard in his short tenure as the leader of the Michigan Wolverines and it is about to start paying off. After winning 8 games in 2012, the Wolverines are ready to take the next step to return to the top of the standings in the Big Ten. Devin Gardner returns as the starting quarterback after taking over the role late in the season last year. Gardner managed to throw for over 1,000 yards even though he didn’t start playing until the last five games of the year. The defense finished 13th in the nation last season and should still be good enough to overcome the ACL injury suffered by pass rusher Jake Ryan. The Big House has gained the reputation of being one of the best home field advantages in college football and the storied history will be on display with games against Notre Dame, Nebraska and a season finale showdown against rival Ohio State.

2011 Michigan Football Preview:
The last three years have not been kind to the Michigan Wolverines. Rich Rodriguez was fired after stumbling to a 7-6 record and an embarrassing Gator Bowl. Now, with first-year coach Brady Hoke at the helm, the Michigan faithful are hoping that he can restore the storied team to its previous glory.

With a new coaching staff leading the way, there are a lot of questions about how the offense will resemble last year's squad, but a lot of people are certain that quick-footed Denard Robinson will be back under center. The lightning-quick Robinson turned a lot of heads last year when he passed for more than 2,500 yards and rushed for 1,700 more. He will be surrounded by a wealth of young receivers including Martavious Odoms and Roy Roundtree, both of whom come to Ann Arbor with a lot of promise.

Michigan will certainly have to improve its defense if it wants to compete with the best of the best in the Big 10 this year. The defense was porous last season, allowing 37 points to UMass, 48 points to Wisconsin and 52 to Mississippi State. The good news is that much of the defense is returning with an extra year under their belt, including cornerback J.T. Floyd and linebacker Kenny Demens, who can both contribute early and help shape the team that fell flat last season.

2010 Michigan Football Preview:
The Rich Rodriguez era at Michigan has started off anything but smoothly. In his first two years at the helm, the former West Virginia coach carries an unimpressive 8-16 record with no bowl appearances.

Michigan had a pair of talented freshman quarterbacks last year in Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson. Although both showed flashes of greatness, they were both too inconsistent to really power an offense. After winning their first four games, the Wolverines offense sputtered in their last eight games. Forcier will probably get the nod heading into the season and will have junior receiver Roy Roundtree as an emerging target.

As inconsistent as the Wolverine offense was in 2009, the defense was just as unreliable. Although it return seven starters, the defense also lost defensive Brandon Graham and safety Stevie Brown to graduation. Michigan will need refrain from giving up the big play on third down as they struggled to get off the field last year en route to surrendering over 393 yards a game.

For better or worse, a Michigan coach is measured by how they do against arch-rival Ohio State and the Buckeyes have won the last six. Unless Rodriguez's team can cut down on big plays and turnovers that likely won't change.

2009 Michigan Football Preview:
Head Coach: Rich Rodriguez
Michigan and their new Head Coach Rich Rodriguez took some unexpected lumps in 2008. Rodriguez showed up in Ann Arbor and never really got things going the way many people expected. But 2008 is finished now and all of the Wolverine faithful are looking forward to a much more productive 2009 MU season. Michigan will be in year two playing in Rodriguez's fast paced offense, and should finally have a quarterback to lead the team. If Coach Rich Rod can get the offense clicking and get the Wolverines defense motivated, then watch out for Michigan as a huge dark horse in the Big 10.
