Colorado State vs. Colorado

Known as the Rocky Mountain Showdown, this is the biggest matchup in the State of Colorado. The two schools have been playing since 1893 and have met over 80 times in their history. In recent years the game has been played at a neutral site at Mile High Stadium in Denver. There are few inner-state rivalries in the country that are played annually at a neutral site, and even fewer that are non-conference matchups, making this one of the most unique games in the country.

Colorado State vs. Wyoming

Dating back to 1899, this is one of the oldest interstate rivalries in the West and among the oldest for both schools. The two teams have met over 100 times with the winner of the game being awarded the Bronze Boot Trophy in each game since 1968. The rivalry has become incredibly contentious and has been increasingly competitive. The Rams own a lead in the overall series, but the Cowboys have a slight edge in the Trophy Series, making the last half century the most compelling in the rivalry’s history.

One of the better rivalries in the State of Colorado, this matchup dates back to 1957. The Rams and Falcons meet for the right to bring the Ram-Falcon Trophy back to their side of Colorado. CSU and Air Force have met over 50 times in their history. Since 1999 having both schools have been members of the Mountain West Conference.
