2013 Colorado Season Preview
A new era has begun in Colorado with the hiring of Mike MacIntyre. MacIntyre resuscitated a San Jose State football program by winning 10 games in 2012, the first time that has happened in 25 years. The Colorado faithful is hoping MacIntyre can perform another miracle. MacIntyre inherits a Buffaloes team that finished last year with one win. It will take time for MacIntyre to make Colorado a factor in the PAC-12 and much of 2013 will be assessing the players that can help moving forward, but hope has returned to Boulder. Along with MacIntyre, the biggest acquisition for the Buffaloes this offseason will be the return of junior wide receiver Paul Richardson. After missing all of 2012 with a torn ACL, Richardson comes back hoping to build off his first two seasons that saw him catch a combine 73 balls for 1,069 yards and 11 touchdowns. The MacIntyre era begins with a road game against state rival Colorado State. Coming to Folsom Field this season will be exciting conference games against Oregon and USC.

Colorado Buffaloes Football at Folsom Field Address: 2400 Colorado Ave, Boulder, Colorado, 80302
The Colorado Buffaloes play their home games at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. Originally known as Colorado Stadium, the facility was renamed in 1944 after the death of legendary Colorado Coach Fred Folsom, who coached the Buffs between 1895 and 1915. Folsom Field holds almost 54,000 spectators as well as providing a state of the art press box, luxury boxes and suites, and club seating. Visitors to “the hilltop” will be awed by this beautiful old stadium, and the backdrop provided by the Flatiron Mountains. The Colorado Buffaloes home bench is on the Folsom Field sideline with sections 115-120. Folsom Field parking information is covered in our Buffaloes event guide.
Colorado vs. Nebraska
These former Big 8 and Big 12 opponents are no strangers to playing each other. The Buffalos and Cornhuskers played for 63 consecutive years from 1948-2010 with Nebraska gaining a firm advantage in the series. Both teams have achieved major victories against the other, and this is one of the few matchups in the country that is always primed for an upset.
Colorado vs. Colorado State
Held yearly at a neutral site in Denver, the “Rocky Mountain Showdown” is the most anticipated all Colorado game of the season. With both teams’ fans filling Sports Authority Field, the stadium is never quiet from start to finish. Colorado has made this a very lopsided rivalry over the years, bringing the “Centennial Cup” back to Boulder almost every year. Despite Colorado’s dominance in wins, the games are always energetic and among of the best in Colorado every season.
Colorado Buffaloes in the BCS National Championship, Bowl Games and Pac 12 Championship

Colorado Buffaloes Football 1 1
College Football at the foot of the Rockies Folsom Field, in Boulder, is one of the most picturesque locations for College Football in all of America. The campus crawls with Buffalo fans and Tailgaters on Game Day. One of my favorite traditions at CU is the Golden Buffalo marching band marching from there central campus practice location to Folsom Field just before game time. Whether you’re a Buffalo fan or not, Ralphie leading the team on the field is sure to get the blood flowing!! The stadium itself has been upgraded in recent years with the addition of the East Side Club and there is not a bad seat in the place!! GO BUFFS!!! August 26, 2010
