The Cardinal have 2 national titles to their credit, 12 conference titles, and have been to the Rose Bowl 12 times and won 9 of them. Some of the great Stanford players who've made their mark on the game of football include Jim Plunkett, John Elway, James Lofton, and John Lynch.

Stanford Cardinal Football 4 5 1 1
For Our Cardinals Stanford Cardinal @ USC Trojans Week 9 NCAA 2011. I’m a Cardinal. That’s the reason why I’m always picking my educational establishment; they are sucking money out of me like a vacuum! Still, it’s a love for my Stanford Cardinals. It comes down to a game that is just great football. The Trojans are not good at stopping good offenses and there is nit a better and more efficient offense in the country than what Stanford brings to the Trojans Saturday night. The Stanford Cardinals might not have the fastest running back on the field or the talent at receiver that gets NFL scouts drooling but they have great talent in all their team members. The Cardinal linebackers are not measurable of the NFL first day draft picks – and our secondary doesn’t scare everyone – but we do win. We come out and kick your butt and we win. I watched our Cardinals get run over by Chris Polk a time or two but it didn’t seem to bother any of them one bit. The scary thing about our Stanford Cardinals is….We know. We know that we are going to win. We know that we are going to outlast you. We know that we are going to stop you eventually and when it comes to live or die against our quarterback, the opponent is going to die. It’s all about knowing that we are going to win.
