Alabama Crimson Tide Football 4.9 5 30 30
2009 SEC Championship #2 Alabama vs #1 Florida 12-5-2009 This game was billed as one of the greatest games of all time before the first whistle ever sounded. The Crimson Tide had awaited a whole year for the moment. They had beat Florida in 2008 for three straight quarters, only to watch Tim Tebow lead the Gators to victory in the 4th quarter. They had to settle for a berth in the Sugar Bowl, a BCS Bowl, yet a disappointing finish. They fell short of their national championship and had to play Utah. The morning of 12-5-2010, my wife and I attended Game Day in downtown Atlanta. You could feel it in the air that morning. The Tide fans knew it was time for college football to change. They knew Nick Saban was going to lead his warriors to an SEC Championship. They knew this would be the day that the Crimson Tide would throttle the best player in the history of the college game, Tim Tebow. The Florida fans did not seem to have their usual arrogance about them from past experience. They were somewhat calm, as if they knew what was about to transpire. My wife and I ended up meeting Santa Claus that day. He was more than happy to get his photo taken with such a beautiful Bama fan. We ended up at the SEC Fan area where I put on my war paint for the day ahead. The day wore on. It seemed as if kickoff would never arrive. Finally, two hours prior to kickoff, the Georiga Dome opened and Tide fans poured in. Minutes ticked away on the pre game clock. It was time. From the opening drive, everyone in the Dome knew what was happening. The Tide was there to win. They were there to dominate their opponent on every single play, every single second. We sat in section 112, 15 rows up from the action. As I recall, we were right around the 25-30 yard line. We were right behind the Florida bench. You could hear every single bone jarring hit. You could see every communication of players with each other. It was unbelievable. As time wore on, Bama pounded and dominated the Gators like noone had been able to do in Urban Meyer's tenure at Florida. They limited Tebow all night. As the seconds began to tick away in the 4th quarter, everyone could smell the Roses. You could almost smell them from where we were sitting, literally. We knew Pasadena was in front of us! The Tide dismantled, destroyed, absolutely dominated the Gators on this day. The final score was 34-13. Bama was victorious and the Alabama Million Dollar Band cranked up the Rammer Jammer. Check out my Youtube video for proof! It is the most view Rammer Jammer in the world for this game if I am not mistaken. This was my wife and I's greatest football moment since 1992. The Tide is back and still rising! Roll Tide Roll! November 2, 2010
The Tide Rolls On When even a Texas fan admits they love a good Bama game, you know it's a must-see event. I highly recommend catching the Iron Bowl to see the tide take on Auburn in one of the best SEC rivalries. I went once and now it's an annual trip not to be missed. June 22, 2011
1st Alabama Game at Stadium My husband and I are huge Roll Tide Fans. We have a tradition of Saturdays spent in the living room at home watching college football all day long and especially Alabama Football. We went to our first game last year in the stadium and we couldn't afford alot to put out on tickets so we went to the North Texas game. WHAT an experience. There is nothing like walking into that stadium. The noise level of excited Alabama fans. Nothing beats being there in person. Truly awesome. September 9, 2010
Once in a lifetime is an understatment My husband and I attended our first Alabama Crimson Tide ballgame last year. What an experience. We thought the noise level would bother us and seating would be too close together. Wrong answer. Watching it on TV is one thing but being in the stadium is awesome. The energy, excitement, warm-ups and the plays on the field, seeing them in person was one of the greatest experiences of our lives. September 11, 2010
