Florida Gators Football Tickets

W ith a tough loss looming after a rough night in New Orleans, the Florida Gators and head coach Will Muschamp will be looking to rebound in a big way in 2013. Returning starters and another strong recruiting class should make that come easy and after a disappointing end to a spectacular 2012 season the Gators will not be messing around.

The game everyone looks at when the schedule comes out is when the Gators take on Florida State and this year it will be in Gainesville on November 30th. Arkansas will visit Ben Hill Griffith Stadium on Oct. 5th while the big annual game against Georgia is on Nov. 2nd in Jacksonville.

Everyday spent in the Swamp is unforgettable Believe it or not, your "Swamp" experience begins way before you get to see the ball teed up and the game get underway. Whenever you reach the city limits of Gainesville, especially on a college football Saturday, you feel a surge of energy explode through you. There's nothing else like it. As you walk the historic streets and see the enormous amount of fans, you get another jolt. When you are handing your ticket over to the scanner, you get another jolt. Then, as you walk through the outer tunnels of the stadium, and finally catch a glimpse of the stunningly green grass, you realize your dream has come true, and you get that last pre-game jolt. As you take you seat, it's like you're plugging yourself into the stadium, donating all that energy to help create the Swamp's enticingly-electric atmosphere. If you haven't experienced it, how can you resist? It's my favorite hobby, bringing in newcomers and letting them see what makes Gainesville on Saturday's so spectacular. Being surrounded by fans that are as passionate as yourself and taking in just how much history has happened on the field before you. When the game starts and the crowd fills their seats, buckle yourself in, because you're in for a wild ride that will have you absolutely craving to come back. See ya on Saturday and welcome to the Swamp. September 10, 2010
A win is a win I can't say that was a beautiful win in Knoxville but a win is a win. The Gators once again had a lackluster offense in the first half but were kept in the game by their defense. The second half was more of the same until Coach Meyer called the play of the game Fake Punt that swung the momentum to the Gators and then it was all down hill for UF. The score makes the game look like an easy win but it truely was a defensive stuggle with very few highlights to talk about. On to Kentucky! Go Gators! September 18, 2010

The University of Florida Gators Football program is always one of the toughest and most exciting college football teams in the country. The team celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 2006 by winning the national championship. The Florida Gators have another national title under their belt from 1996 and 7 conference titles. Having suited up such legendary players as Steve Spurrier, Emmitt Smith, Chris Collinsworth, and Danny Weurfel, the Florida Gators has long brought some of the nation's top talent to Gainesville, Florida. A home game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is a sight to see.

The Florida Gators first fielded a varsity football team in 1906. The Gators joined the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Associate (SIAA) and then the Southern Conference before joining the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in 1932. Florida's first era of real success was in the 1960's under coach Ray Graves when, with the help of Heisman quarterback and future coach Steve Spurrier, the Florida Gators won a record 70 home games in a row. The team had more success in the ‘80's, the 1984 squad being one of the best college teams ever assembled. Steve Spurrier would return to the team as a coach, giving the team one of the best winning percentages in the country starting in 1990. Who can forget the national championship season in 1996 when Florida played their cross-state rivals, Florida State Seminoles? Under the leadership of Heisman winner Danny Weurfel the Florida Gators won 52-20, avenging their one loss to Florida State earlier in the year. That season, in order to have a chance at winning the national title, the Florida Gators had to pray for Ohio State Buckeyes to defeat Arizona State Sun Devils, which they managed to do at the last minute. It was a classic end to an exciting college football season.

The Florida Gators play heir home games at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. Holding over 90,000 spectators, it's the 10th largest college stadium in America. Also known as the Swamp, the stadium is considered one of the most inhospitable venues to play as a visiting team. On-field temperatures often reach over 100 degrees, and with the closed-in design of the stands, there is no breeze to bring relief from the heat. Then there's the crowd, which also takes advantage of the bowl shape of the stadium to be one of the loudest in college football. A game and Ben Hill Griffin is an amazing experience. Buy Florida Gators football tickets, and witness one of the most storied teams in college football vie for another national title!
