Chelf scored a total of four touchdowns, two of which came on the ground, to lead the Cowboys to a huge win that propels them up the Big 12 standings. It’s the first conference loss of the season for Texas, who won six consecutive games after losses to BYU and Ole Miss early on. Justin Gilbert picked off McCoy twice, running one back for a 43-yard TD at the end of the third quarter.
