The Colorado State Rams basketball program thrived under head coach Jim Williams, who coached for 26 seasons.  In his tenure, he led the Rams to 4 NCAA Tournament appearances including the quarterfinals in 1969.  The Colorado State Rams have 5 all-time NCAA Tournament appearances and made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen in 1999.
