When Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn joined together in 1991, they began one of the most successful groups in the history of music. Better known as Brooks & Dunn, the group has been releasing hit after hit for nearly 20 years, and despite being a wildly popular country act, the duo decided to call it a day with one last farewell tour that concludes September 2 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Although both members had successful solo careers throughout the 1980s, it was not until 1991 and the release of their first album together, Brand New Man, that they saw widespread success. The album had four number one singles on it, including the now-classic "Boot Scootin' Boogie." Although Brooks & Dunn's follow-up album, 1993's Hard Workin' Man, was not quite as successful as their debut, it still produced a number one single in "That Ain't No Way To Go."
The '90s continued to be kind to the duo, as they released a series of popular albums, and they did not slow down they entered the new millennium. The 2001 release, Steers & Stripes, featured one of the band's all-time most successful songs, "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You." The slow, emotional ballad spent six weeks at number one and still gets a significant amount of airplay nine years later. Another number one single from Steers & Stripes, "Only In America," has been used extensively by political figures along the campaign trail, most recently at Barack Obama's nomination acceptance speech in 2008.
In August 2009, Brooks & Dunn announced on their website that they were breaking up, but not before they would release one last album and tour once more. The album #1s...and Then Some was comprised of some of the bands biggest hits along with two new tunes.
The numbers are hard to beat, as Brooks & Dunn part ways with 23 number one singles, ten studio albums and are the all-time leader in record sales for any genre. Brooks & Dunn have earned a wealth of awards as well. Between 1992 and 2006, the group won the Country Music Association's Vocal Duo of the Year award 13 of 14 times, and have also won two Grammys. Although they will be embarking on solo careers after they split, their contribution to the world of music as a group will always live on.

Boot stompin' good time! I was suppose to go with my husband and he was called into work, so I took my 25 yr old daughter to verizon wireless center. Sorry for his loss, but we had a boot stompin' great time! the music was great and so was the lighting. I dont think there was a bad seat in the house. I would recommend it to all my friends to go.
