ACL keeps getting better! I've been to ACL every year for the past 6-7 years and it keeps getting better every year. Everything from the bands they sign up, to the variety and quality of food and beverage. If you are a music lover, this festival is a must attend event. Attached is a photo backstage at Coheed and Cambria - Great show! June 22, 2011
ACL Fest - Austin live music at its best An incredible multi-stage, multi-day event with national and international acts, the ACL Music Festival is an annual must-see for music lovers everywhere. One of the great perks to living in Austin is the phenomenal music and this festival is the epitome. This year, the headliners are Muse, Phish, and The Eagles, but there is already a ton of buzz about many of the other acts including The Strokes, Broken Bells, The Black Keys, Norah Jones, and Austin's own Spoon. Me, I'm looking most forward to walking through the plush grass, eating a Chicken Cone from the Hudson's on the Bend stand, enjoying a cold one at the Heineken Bar, and watching Deadmau5, Broken Bells, Amos Lee, Beats Antique, Angus & Julia Stone, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. You can bet I'll be loving the Phish set, too. Great food (not just corn dogs and kettle corn) is a big plus at this festival. Also love catching some NFL football in the tent in between music sets. One of the best festivals I've attended...this year will be the fourth year in a row for me. August 9, 2010
Three Days of Festival Fun This Austin tradition has become one of the highlights I look forward to each year. You need to be ready for large crowds, Texas heat (even with the date change to October) and long days, but in the end it is worth it. The cost of admission is reasonable if you purchase tickets in advance - and definitely go for the three-day pass...you have to purchase before you know the schedule and sometimes it's catching those bands you'd never heard of that make the experience totally worthwhile. Seven stages with hours of music each day means that almost anyone's tastes are covered...and, like I said, what you find out you like may surprise you. And, the food options provide a fun twist to the experience...with local-based businesses setting up tents, it gives the opportunity to revisit an old favorite or try something new. August 10, 2010
Best Festival Ever I cannot say enough good things about ACL Festival. It's an amazing experience and each festival I find more music to love and listen to for the rest of the year. There is always some natural disaster of sorts- dust, rain, mud, heat- but somehow through it all my friends and I have a blast. Some of my favorite shows of my life have been at ACL. Memories made every year... September 13, 2010

2012 ACL Highlights:

ACL Festival Experience:

The Austin City Limits Festival is a musical festival that features numerous artists. ACL Festival is it is commonly called was started in Austin, Texas in 2002. The festival is put on by Charles Attal's company, C3 Presents. C3 also produces Lollapalooza in Chicago and the Big State Festival in Texas. ACL is popular because it is a 3-day musical experience, which is shared by thousands of people. People can see dozens of their favorite bands all in one location, on the same weekend.

Austin City Limits Festival occurs each Fall at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. Zilker is a large grassy park on Town Lake, that is located near downtown Austin. Zilker Park is in the heart of Austin, so it is easy to get to from all parts of the city. Zilker is located on Barton Spring Road, just one block from Lamar Boulevard. There are numerous restaurants and bars that line the street just outside ACL Festival's main gate. And just across the street from ACL's main gate is Zilker's Barton Spring Pool. Barton Springs is the largest (and coldest) natural springs pool in Texas. So not only is ACL Fest a great show, but it's in a great part of Austin to have a good time.

ACL Fest is a large outdoor concert, that has musicians performing on different stages spread across the park. Once inside you can roam around the park listening to music from the different artists. There is also plenty of delicious food and beverages, that are sold by some of Austin's coolest restaurants. The music at ACL Festival is outstanding. Each year of ACL, there have been numerous major artists who come to play at the show. Just a few of the big names that have played ACL Festival are: Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, Robert Plant, Van Morrison, Coldplay, Widespread Panic, Oasis, The Black Crowes, The Killers, Beck, Wilco, Ben Harpers, Liz Phair, R.E.M, Dwight Yoakum and String Cheese Incident. And every year the lineup at ACL Festival includes dozens of great bands.
