Fans of dance and electronica music have flocked to raves in droves for years for their spontaneous energy, killer beats and amazing visuals, but very few events have taken on a life of their own quite like the Dayglow Tour. Billed as "the world's largest paint party," the Dayglow Tour has grown by leaps and bounds to become one of the largest and most successful electronic dance events around, taking advantage of arenas and outdoor venues all over the world.
The Dayglow Tour got its start in 2006 on a number of college campuses in Florida, but the event's founders, Committee Entertainment, have turned the rave into a worldwide spectacle of lights, aerial acrobatics, stilt walkers, fire shows and, of course, plenty of paint. The tour, which has been dubbed LIFE IN COLOR, has grown in attendance, production and the strength of the DJ lineup in each year it has been in existence. The events have attracted such legendary DJ talent like Joachim Garraud, David Berrie, Robbie Rivera, Rodger Sanchez, Diplo, Funkagenda and many more.
The buzz around the event has been growing steadily since its inception, and has even begun to reach international audiences in London, Melbourne and Cancun. Attendees must dress in white and are encouraged to bring goggles or some form of eyewear to shield their eyes during the Dayglow Blast. In addition to the paint cannons, paint is distributed throughout the crowd during the evening, and attendees are encouraged to spray one another. Of course, during the show all eyes are on the "Dayglow Countdown" a large clock on multiple video screens that leads to the world famous "paint blast." When the timer is up, large quantities of paint and confetti are sprayed into the crowd in an amazing visual spectacular that has to be seen to be believed.
While the Dayglow Tour has made a name for itself as one of the largest outdoor electronica events in the world, it has continued to evolve and bring something new to the table each year. The tour has recently incorporated 3D effects to its shows, adding another layer of visceral craziness that makes it one of the best parties in the world. The Dayglow Tour 2012 is currently underway and is making stops all over the United States and tickets are in very high-demand for this amazing spectacle.
