What started at a single station has grown to a nationwide event headlined by the biggest stars in music. Z100 held the inaugural Jingle Ball in 1996 at Madison Square Garden, a show that featured Jewel, No Doubt, Sheryl Crow, and many more. The successful show became an annual tradition, attracting big acts as it grew in popularity. Z100's parent, Clear Channel, slowly began expanding the show to other cities, including LA and Philadelphia.
More cities have been added and now the Jingle Ball Tour visits 12 cities around the United States. The tour made the leap to television as well, introducing more fans to the star-studded lineups. The future looks bright for this recent holiday tradition, where fans can hear music's brightest stars sing their hits along with a few holiday standards to keep the mood festive.
