2013 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Preview:
The 40th anniversary of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival is scheduled to bring four days of non-stop music to the Telluride Town Park in Colorado. The music festival is slated for the third weekend in June featuring one of the best lineups to date.

The idea for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival came about in 1973 from the Telluride Fourth of July Celebration. Now the festival is held annually by Planet Bluegrass featuring a variety of genres but having a core focus on the bluegrass genre. Since the 1973 celebration the Telluride Bluegrass Festival has become a huge success drawing in over 10,000 fans and featuring some of the most legendary artists. The festivals list of honor includes Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello, David Byrne, John Fogerty, Robert Plant, Dixie Chicks, The Allman Brothers Band, Mumford & Sons and many more.
