As one of the most popular entertainers working in America today, there are few people out there who haven't heard of Justin Timberlake or felt his impact on pop culture. Born in Memphis, Tenn., Timberlake broke into entertainment from a young age when he worked on The Mickey Mouse Club as a child. By the time the show ended, Timberlake began working on forming an all-male vocal group, which would eventually become the hyper-successful band, N'Sync.
N'Sync became one of biggest bands of the mid to late '90s, with a slew of chart-topping albums that made them a force in the era's boy band battle. Along with the group's highly-successful debut album, *NSYNC, the group's 2000 release, No Strings Attached, sold faster than any record in history, moving 2.4 million copies during its first week of release.
By the early 2000s, Timberlake began to focus on his own solo career, which culminated in his first solo album, Justified, in 2002. The record featured successful singles such as "Like I Love You," "Rock Your Body" and "Cry Me A River." The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and solidified Timberlake's status as a successful solo artist in his own right.
In 2006, Timberlake released his second album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured many collaborators, including Snoop Dogg, Three 6 Mafia, T.I. and will.i.am. With singles like "My Love," "What Goes Around...Comes Around" and "Sexyback," Timberlake scored another major success on the charts and won two Grammy Awards for his efforts. After a multiple year hiatus to concentrate on his acting career by appearing in box office hits like The Social Network and Bad Teacher, Timberlake is prepping for a huge 2013 by dropping his third album, The 20/20 Experience. After debuting a few of the record's tracks at the 2013 Grammy Awards, the album is expected to be one of the year's best sellers.
