Born Destiny Hope Cyrus, later changed to Miley from Smiley, Cyrus is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and is an American pop singer and actress. She came to fame by her role in the Disney series, Hannah Montana and had major commercial success in record sales during that time. As Miley Cyrus, she has released 4 studio albums and 13 singles, some of which include, “See You Again,” “The Climb” and “Party In The U.S.A.” Controversy has surrounded the singer/actress since she left Disney, first because of her on again/off again romance with teen idol Justin Beiber and her performance at the MTV VMA Awards where she “Twerked” for the audience in a scathing manner. Since then, she has had a number one hit with “Wrecking Ball,” adding to her new imagine with a semi-nude video for the song. This is a highly anticipated tour as she brings with her Sky Ferreira, another teen who, like Cyrus, has had a controversial public life. Together they will create a show that will no doubt be anything but boring. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Miley Cyrus concert tickets.
“Gypsy Heart Tour”
The 2001 tour that supported Cyrus’s third album, Cant Be Tamed and primarily visited South America and Australia. Cyrus focused on the music and let the audience see a different singer than that of her television role as Hannah Montana. The show featured an acoustic section, along with taking requests from the audience. Songs from her album showcased were “Party In The U.S.A.,” “Liberty Walk” and “Can’t Be Tamed.”
“Bangerz World Tour”
Cyrus describes the album and the tour as “dirty south hip-hop” and it is a departure from anything she has done before. The tour is expected to showcase not just the theatrics, but also her voice. You can expect a massive TV screen, animals, confetti, kitties, parodies, costume changes and lots of acoustic music from Cyrus herself. It’s an all girl affair; opening acts include Sky Ferreira and Icona Pop, as a self-proclaimed feminist, Cyrus likes to surround herself with beautiful women. Songs expected to be featured are, “Summertime Sadness,” “Adore You” and “#GETITRIGHT.”
