Experience The Circuit of The Americas

  • First and only track in the United States to be purpose-built for Formula 1
  • The total length of the circuit is 3.41 miles (5.49 kilometers)
  • The track will run in anti-clockwise direction due to the overwhelming number of left hand turns. Only other circuits currently run this way are: Marina Bay in Singapore, Interlagos in Brazil, Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi and Yeongam in Korea.
  • The spectator capacity estimated to be 120,000 (permanent and temporary seating facilities).
  • One of the unique features of the circuit is a deliberate widening of the circuit in the corners, to encourage drivers to follow multiple racing lines.
  • There are 20 turns (11 left, 9 right) and a total elevation change of over 130 ft. including a long and very steep uphill run into the hairpin Turn 1, there will be excellent passing opportunities at the tracks signature corner.
  • From the start line the cars speed into the first corner, the highest point of the circuit, with an apex positioned perfectly on the crest of the hill.
  • Next, the drivers descend downhill into a series of fast left/right sweepers and through a fast blind corner at Turn 10 leaving them at the far end of the circuit and a hairpin of Turn 11.
  • The cars then blast down a huge 0.62-mile straight (DRS Zone) back to toward the main straight exceeding 200 mph before slamming the breaks into Turn 12 and the next series of curves.
  • This will be followed by a downhill, multi-apex corner started with Turn 16 that has very limited run-off before the final two corners of the circuit and then back on the main straight.

Hamilton rises to the occasion TicketCity provided an excellent service. I will use you guys again. Perfect race for a Hamilton fan as he had to pass Nico to get the win. COTA is a great venue and Austin played a perfect host including the young adults and their Halloween engagement. Great job including the shuttle service to and from the track. I'm sure I lost a few pounds with the hefty hike at the end of each race day. November 5, 2014
